Plans to come…

February 23rd, 2009

It’s an exciting Spring in Downtown Kingsport! New businesses are calling Downtown home, the popular Bluegrass on Broad and Twilight Alive Concert Series are about to announce their new lineups, the State Theatre will open again–and we’re a little busy, too, with the construction of BANQ, the Tri-Cities’ elegant new gathering space, and 9 residential lofts on the way at 217 Broad Street in the Sterchi’s Building!

We just welcomed Aaron the Architect to the team and he’s done some fantastic artistic renderings of what some of our spaces and facades will look like upon completion. Let us know what you think!

Artist Rendering- the new facade of 217 Broad, the Sterchi

Another angle…Another angle…BANQ: Early rendering…

It’s high time for someone to open a meeting place in Downtown Kingsport…

…So Urban Synergy has done just that!

Presenting BANQ, the luxurious 295-capacity banquet hall located on the second floor of the First National Bank Building on the corner of Center and Broad St.

Many of us have moved rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, parties, reunions and even corporate events to Johnson City, Jonesborough or Bristol because we wanted a classy Downtown space to celebrate in.

Now you can keep it all Downtown– ride a carriage from Church Circle to BANQ, finish up your event, and your guests can close out the night at Stir Fry or Kingsport Grocery Company, and walk home to their Downtown loft if they are one of the lucky few (which I am not yet).

A few particulars:

-295-capacity

-acid-stained concrete floors and ceilings

-14′ ceilings with exposed steel beams

-Ornate Corinthian-style columns

-floor-to-ceiling arched windows along Center Street in Downtown Kingsport

-Warming kitchen

-AV Room

-one-bedroom BANQ LOFT for event or overnight use

-Possible future plans for valet parking and a rooftop deck!

We’re still cementing prices but spread the word to anyone you know who might need a stellar place to celebrate or meet, and keep an eye out on our website for more info as it comes along.
